It’s been a very busy week. Memphis has been on an eating binge every day. He announces that he’s hungry for what seems like every hour! And his speech and conversational skills have improved dramatically. Some of Memphis’ favorite words to say at the moment are, “Hungry!” “Uncle Andy” and “Ice cream”.
During the past week, Marty’s been putting a lot of blood, sweat and tears into getting the mustang done. We were supposed to put the auction up on Ebay but unfortunately, sometime during the week, Marty accidentally sprayed a speck of paint on his eyeball. He suffered excrutiating pain before he gave up and went to the doctor. The doctor used a vibrating needle to drill out the paint. Sounds painful? Well it definitely was for him. He slept for most of the day all drugged up with medication.

Well, I had to move my site to a new server so it’s been down for quite some time. I am no longer using a script to update the site. Everything is done by hand, the old-fashioned way. It sucks because it takes a lot longer to update things. But I have more freedom to do things my way.

It was appropriate to dress Memphis up as his favorite character Bob the Builder for Halloween. I couldn’t find the actual “store-bought” costume. So we decided to use his Bob the Builder sweater and pants. I bought a child size hard hat and let him carry a few of his John Deere tools.
In the afternoon, we took Memphis to South Hill Mall. It was quite crowded with kids of all ages dressed up in everything you can imagine. Memphis didn’t know what to make of it all. He clung on to my hand for dear life until he realized that if he stuck out his pumpkin, he’d get free candy. Then when we got home, we took him around the block and got more free candy. He loved it!

Memphis didn’t actually carve any pumpkins. He did help Daddy take some of the goop out…

Later in October, we decided to take Memphis to the pumpkin patch at Spooner Farm. When Memphis saw all the pumpkins, his eyes grew wide. He wanted to take all of them home! They also had a kids’ maze (which was too muddy that rainy day) and a pumpkin sling shot.
